KEMCO's latest Android release, Novel Rogue, is a captivating pixel-art fantasy JRPG with roguelite elements and card deck-building mechanics. This enchanting adventure plunges players into the magical world of the Ancient Library, where they assume the role of Wright, a young apprentice under the tutelage of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals.
Wright's journey unfolds through four mystical books, each transporting him to a unique and richly detailed world. The game incorporates innovative mechanics such as the "Change" command, allowing players to strategically redistribute damage among allies, and "Novel Power," which empowers deck enhancement using ink. For those seeking a heightened challenge, the "Deep Record" mode significantly increases dungeon difficulty, promising thrilling high-stakes battles.
Beyond combat, players can enhance their relationships with characters by collecting and gifting treasures, unlocking special endings as a reward for their efforts.
