A recent update significantly boosted Helldivers 2's player count on PS5. The "Omens of Tyranny" expansion, surprise-released at the 2024 Game Awards, has been well-received. This update introduced the highly anticipated Illuminate enemy faction, a 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle, and new urban warfare maps, delighting players.
