TreesPlease Games concluded 2024 with a remarkable achievement. Their merge game, Longleaf Valley, surpassed expectations, resulting in the planting of over two million real trees thanks to player participation.
Players' virtual tree-planting efforts in the game have directly contributed to the growth of actual forests worldwide, a feat made possible through a partnership with the Eden Reforestation Project. This represents a doubling of the previous year's (2023) tree planting count, mirroring the game's own doubled download numbers in 2024.
TreesPlease Games, established in 2019 with a mission to create nature-preserving and climate-change-combating games, saw Longleaf Valley—their first mobile title—achieve this significant milestone. The game's impact was recognized with the Best Purpose-Driven Game award at the Playing for the Planet Awards in November 2024. To celebrate this success, TreesPlease Games is hosting a special in-game event.
