Ubisoft's unannounced Project U has had a turbulent journey. Leaks began circulating in 2022 following closed beta testing, resurfacing two years later, hinting at ongoing development. Recently, a leaked introductory cinematic, shared by gaming blogger Shaun Weber (known for previous leaks), has emerged, suggesting a potential development reboot. While the cinematic's authenticity remains unconfirmed, Weber's implication suggests further leaks are possible if development continues.

Project U is anticipated to be a session-based co-op shooter, inspired by the success of Helldivers 2. The leaked footage depicts an alien invasion storyline, where players assume the roles of humanity's defenders against this extraterrestrial threat.

Currently, Ubisoft remains silent on an official announcement date for Project U.
