World of Warcraft's annual Feast of Winter Veil, a joyous in-game event mirroring our real-world Christmas celebrations, returns with fresh rewards and activities! This year's festivities are even more special thanks to a collaboration with PlatinumWoW, resulting in a captivating lore video.

The video, a delightful journey through Winter Veil's history, explores the holiday's origins. Uncover the Dwarven legend of Greatfather Winter, a Titan-forged giant spreading winter's magic, and discover the Tauren's traditions of gratitude and renewal. Learn how the Goblin-run Smokeywood Pastures brought a commercial twist to the holiday, much like our own Christmas traditions.

A History Steeped in Tradition and Hilarious Mishaps

No Winter Veil story is complete without mentioning Metzen the Reindeer! Named after Chris Metzen, the video recounts the reindeer's unfortunate history of kidnappings – by pirates, Dark Iron Dwarves, and even the Grinch! The video concludes with a humorous thank you from Metzen, voiced in the iconic tones of Thrall (also voiced by Chris Metzen).
