HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters, Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (the latter offered free to all players as a promotional incentive), along with enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes. The Hoshimi Miyabi character banner was particularly instrumental in driving this record revenue.
Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond typical post-update trends. While spending usually declines significantly within a week of an update's release, Zenless Zone Zero maintained over $1 million in daily revenue for more than 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 per day after two weeks.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still lags behind HoYoverse's other flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
