Game Introduction
This Scrabble companion app, Scrabble Score, helps you keep score and verify your words against a Scrabble-approved dictionary. Unlike standalone games, it's designed to work alongside the physical Scrabble board game. It's unique in offering dictionary verification, eliminating the need for pen and paper. The app calculates scores for each word and provides a running total.
Key Features:
- Dictionary Modes: Choose between two official dictionaries: OSPD (Official Scrabble Players Dictionary) and SOWPODS (a combination of the OSPD and older official Scrabble word lists).
- Subtle Mode: Provides visual indicators only.
- Override Mode: Allows you to override the dictionary if a word isn't found.
- Multiplayer Support: Plays with 1-4 players.
- Score Tracking: Calculates and stores word scores and running totals.
- Mistake Correction: Delete previous turns to correct errors.
- Game Continuation: Resume unfinished games.
