Valve's back from their New Year break, and developers are rolling out updates across their game portfolio. Following the announcement of Deadlock's shift from bi-weekly updates, we anticipated a substantial patch. However, Valve opted for a smaller, less intensive update to kick off the year.
This initial 2025 Deadlock patch focuses solely on hero adjustments. Yamato received a minor nerf, with reduced damage scaling and a lower attack speed bonus on the first level of Shadow Transformation. Further nerfs impacted Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot, while Alchemical Fire underwent a slight rework.

A larger, more comprehensive patch is anticipated, though the timing remains uncertain. Predicting a release date is currently infeasible.
It's noteworthy that Deadlock's player count has recently declined. This might be attributed to the popularity of Marvel Rivals, but a consistent player base of 7,000–19,000 remains respectable for a game still in its deep beta phase. As a reminder, Valve has yet to reveal any release dates or details regarding the game's monetization strategy.
