Into a Hearth Yonder - First Screenshots
Sway State Games has revealed development of Into a Hearth Yonder, a charming creature-collecting MMO-lite featuring a vibrant art style currently in production for PC with a planned 2025 release.
Players will journey through the colorful world of Viteria accompanied by automata companions - small mechanical creatures that enhance various gameplay aspects including combat, resource gathering, and crafting. "We wanted to transform traditional character stats into adorable, Tamagotchi-inspired automata that grow alongside players," explained Chris O'Kelly, Sway State's studio head. "These companions reward your care with gameplay advantages, letting you specialize in preferred activities while making exploration more enjoyable."
O'Kelly described the team's vision: "We're creating a welcoming adventure experience where players can progress at their own rhythm through exploration, magic, and creative systems. Think survival elements without the stressful aspects - just relaxed, leisurely progression."
The development team includes veterans from acclaimed titles like Divinity: Original Sin, Dying Light 2, Harold Halibut, and Horizon: Call of the Mountain. The game is currently available for wishlisting on Steam.
