In Destiny 2's returning Dawning event, players can bake treats for NPCs and farm new weapons. Here's how to obtain the Mistral Lift, a Linear Fusion Rifle exclusive to this limited-time event, and its ideal perk combination.
How to Get the Mistral Lift
The Mistral Lift is only available during The Dawning event. You can acquire it from Eva Levante by trading one "Gift in Return" and 25 Dawning Spirits. Eva also sells Festive Engrams (one Gift in Return and 10 Dawning Spirits), but these don't guarantee the Mistral Lift.
To obtain a "Gift in Return," bake a Dawning treat (like the Neomun-Cake) and give it to an NPC. Dawning Spirits are earned by completing daily Dawning quests and bounties from Eva.
Once you have the necessary resources, trade with Eva for either the Festive Engram or the Mistral Lift directly. You can repeat this process until you get your desired perks.
Mistral Lift God Roll (PvE)
While Linear Fusion Rifles aren't always meta in Destiny 2, the Mistral Lift excels in PvE, particularly for solo players. The recommended god roll is:
Column | Roll |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Battery | Enhanced Battery |
Perk 1 | Withering Gaze |
Perk 2 | Bait and Switch |
Masterwork | Handling |
Withering Gaze debuffs enemies, and Bait and Switch provides a 30% damage boost (after aiming down sights for a second). Envious Assassin is a viable alternative to Withering Gaze for non-solo play. Fluted Barrel, Enhanced Battery, and Handling masterwork enhance stability and ammo capacity.
The Mistral Lift isn't ideal for PvP, but its PvE performance makes it worthwhile.
