Sony has recently unveiled the PC specifications for The Last of Us Part II Remastered, set to launch on April 3, along with details about PSN sign-in benefits and fresh content for No Return Mode on both PC and PlayStation 5. In a detailed post on the PlayStation Blog, developer Naughty Dog highlighted the contributions of support studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy in bringing a robust PC version to life, following its initial release on the PS5.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Features:
The PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered is equipped with a variety of advanced features designed to enhance the gaming experience. These include support for Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution, AMD FSR 3.1 and 4, with options for upscaling and frame generation. Players can customize their gameplay with VSync and framerate cap options, including the ability to run the game at an uncapped framerate. DirectStorage technology ensures fast load times, while settings for adjustable texture quality, LOD distance range, volumetric quality, shadow quality, ambient occlusion, and reflections quality allow for a tailored visual experience. The game also supports ultrawide monitors, offering compatibility with 21:9, 32:9, and even 48:9 resolutions for triple-monitor setups.
Gamers can enjoy the game in 4K resolution, using various controllers or keyboard and mouse inputs. The PC version introduces new control customization options, including full control remapping, primary and secondary bindings, and an adaptive mode for combining keyboard and controller inputs. DualSense controllers offer full haptic feedback, enhancing immersion. Sony emphasized the game's wide range of graphics settings and presets, catering to a spectrum of hardware from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices.
The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs:

For No Return Mode, Sony announced the addition of two new characters, Bill and Marlene, from The Last of Us Part I. Bill adopts a "Smuggler" playstyle, accessing a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and earning double rewards from drops, though he's vulnerable to melee attacks without the ability to dodge. Marlene embodies a "Risk Taker" playstyle, equipped with a custom assault rifle and "All or Nothing" gambits, and can reroute her path once per run.

Four new maps are also joining No Return Mode: Overlook, set high above Seattle with vertical gameplay; School, the abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina confront the W.L.F.; Streets, set in the overgrown Hillcrest neighborhood; and Nest, familiar to players as Abby navigates an infected building. These maps aim to add more variety and excitement to the mode, which has received positive feedback since its debut on the PS5.

All new content for No Return Mode, along with new trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch via a free 2.0.0 patch. Regarding the PSN log-in on PC, it remains optional, but players who sign in will gain access to the PlayStation overlay, PSN trophies, 50 in-game points for bonus features, and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun's jacket from Naughty Dog's upcoming PS5 game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. PS5 players can also unlock this skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.

In related news, Neil Druckmann, director of The Last of Us, shared insights about Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in an interview with Alex Garland. Druckmann humorously noted the game's focus on faith and religion as a departure from the polarizing creative choices in The Last of Us Part II. Intergalactic, which has been in development for four years, stars Tati Gabrielle and is set in an alternate historical timeline where a significant religion has evolved over time.
As anticipation builds for the PC release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered, fans are also looking forward to Season 2 of HBO's acclaimed TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, a notable element omitted from the first season.
