Blizzard has unveiled exciting details about the upcoming in-game housing system for World of Warcraft: Midnight, set to be part of the Worldsoul saga after The War Within. Early previews indicate a level of customization that surpasses many players' expectations, promising an immersive experience.
A developer blog recently showcased in-game videos demonstrating the innovative furniture placement system. Players will utilize a grid system with automatic snapping, allowing for precise and effortless organization of items. Larger objects like shelves or tables can be adorned with smaller accessories that remain attached when moved, offering flexibility and ease in decorating.
The housing system features two distinct modes: Basic Mode for straightforward organization and Advanced Mode for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players have the freedom to rotate objects on all three axes and stack them creatively, enabling the creation of complex and visually stunning interiors.

Another notable feature is the ability to scale objects, catering to different character sizes. This means gnomes can craft cozier spaces, while larger races like tauren can design more spacious layouts. Additionally, certain furniture pieces designed specifically for the housing system will support recoloring, although legacy assets may not include this feature.
With the release of Midnight still months away, Blizzard continues to release teasers and updates to keep the community engaged and excited about the future of World of Warcraft.
