Krafton's latest venture, inZOI, has made a spectacular entry into the gaming world, selling an impressive 1 million copies within just one week. This marks the fastest sales milestone ever achieved by a game from the South Korean publishing giant. Launched on PC via Steam in Early Access on March 28, inZOI quickly captured the gaming community's attention, not only for its rapid sales but also for some unexpected in-game incidents. Players discovered an unintended feature where they could harm children, which Krafton promptly addressed as a bug and patched out.
Despite this early controversy, inZOI has garnered a 'very positive' user review rating on Steam. The game also saw a peak of 175,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, placing it third in the Games category. Impressively, inZOI ascended to the top of Steam's Global Top Sellers List by sales revenue a mere 40 minutes after its release. The in-game user-generated content platform, Canvas, also saw remarkable engagement with over 1.2 million participants on launch day and more than 470,000 pieces of content uploaded.
IGN's Early Access review of inZOI awarded it a 6/10, noting that while the game is visually striking and ambitious, it lacks depth at its current stage. Krafton attributes the game's success to its pre-launch promotional efforts and continuous communication with the community, which helped build trust and momentum. The inZOI global showcase and demo build were particularly effective in attracting interest, according to Krafton.
CEO CH Kim expressed gratitude and excitement for presenting inZOI to players worldwide through Early Access and emphasized the company's commitment to ongoing communication and development to establish inZOI as a long-term franchise IP for Krafton.

Looking ahead, Krafton has promised that future updates will introduce new content, including mod support and new cities. All updates and DLC will be provided for free until the game's full release. In response to player feedback and reported issues, Krafton plans to implement quick fixes through hotfixes throughout April. The company acknowledged the scale of inZOI's global community as a "next-level experience" and admitted to navigating some challenges in finding the best ways to communicate with players.
