REPO's development team has unveiled exciting roadmap plans featuring a "duck bucket" mechanic to protect players from the game's notorious avian threat. Discover what's coming next in these updates and see Lethal Company's creator's perspective on REPO.
Duck Bucket To Fend Off The Duck

The first major update introduces a new map and the innovative "duck bucket" solution to contain the dangerous duck. Semiwork Studios shared these plans through a YouTube video released on March 15.
REPO is a 6-player cooperative horror game where teams must carefully retrieve items from terrifying environments. Players constantly face The Apex Predator - a seemingly harmless yellow duck that transforms into a deadly monster when disturbed, attacking players for 10 seconds before reverting.
The upcoming duck bucket will let players trap the nuisance creature, preventing it from triggering its monstrous form and protecting teammates from accidental activations. The update also brings new character facial expressions and various quality-of-life improvements.
New Map Called "The Museum" and Public Lobbies

Semiwork Studios announced "The Museum," a new parkour-focused level featuring visible extraction boundaries to clearly indicate valid loot retrieval areas.
The developers are implementing public lobbies based on player feedback: "While most players prefer matchmaking with public/private options and a kick function, implementing this requires new server coding - unfamiliar territory for our team." These server-side challenges may delay the feature's release.
Lethal Company Creator's Advice on REPO
Since its February launch, REPO has drawn comparisons to Lethal Company for similar cooperative horror mechanics. On March 15, Zeekerss (Lethal Company creator) offered constructive feedback:
"REPO shows promise. Initial concerns about movement speed and restrictive voice chat were offset by brilliant cooperative moments like maneuvering a grand piano through tight mansion corridors - a hilarious horror game objective."

Zeekerss elaborated: "Key improvements needed include increased voice chat range and reduced audio muffling. Additionally, expansive levels don't suit REPO's design as well as confined spaces." Regarding stealth enemies: "The game needs better enemy behavior tutorials, though I expect this is already planned."
Currently ranking as Steam's #2 bestseller behind Counter-Strike 2, REPO has attracted over 230,645 concurrent players - nearing Lethal Company's peak. The PC-exclusive horror co-op game continues gaining popularity.
